Embracing Your Humanity and Your Soul

Being born a deeply sensitive and empathic female there wasn’t a place for me to be me and fit into the Patriarch. This led to me being labeled as, weak, difficult, weird, too sensitive, and too much. I felt I had no value and did not belong. I felt like I had been silenced and didn’t have a voice. As many deeply sensitive beings do, I tried to bury all I felt deep within, while doing my best to learn how to be accepted. I couldn’t do it. No matter how hard I tried to bury my sensitivity and be ‘strong’, I couldn’t do it. As far back as I can remember, when I experienced the darkness of humanity, I would say, ‘It doesn’t have to be this way. I know there is another way.’ I knew I needed to find my way to the light. In my running from the darkness of humanity, I became a light chaser. Thankfully, a very wise teacher told me that chasing the light was not going to give me what I was seeking. It was in becoming the light that I would find what I sought. There was a caveat though:  in order to become the light, I would have to accept the darkness of humanity. That was a difficult truth to hear and accept. I saw humanity as everything I didn’t want to be. I believed that if I accepted the darkness of humanity, I would be condoning it. I eventually learned that my belief was simply patriarchal conditioning, however, to accept the darkness of humanity and no longer rail against it, seemed like a daunting task. Unbeknownst to me, the door was already opening. The archetypes had come into my awareness and in time, through understanding the shadow and the light of the archetypal patterns, I would be able to embrace the darkness of humanity and align with the light of Soul. This journey has brought me to the present moment, knowing that I am autonomous, with the power of choice. As for being deeply sensitive and empathic, they are my greatest gifts. They are the gifts of the Soul.

For hundreds, perhaps thousands, of years, the Patriarch has been on the path of mechanizing humanity and separating it from Soul. When we look back in history, we can see how the patterns that align with totalitarianism have been repeated time and time again with a stronger alignment each time they are expressed. The dominant pattern of the Patriarch is to have power over another which we see acted out around us every day. During my lifetime, the battle for equality and autonomy for women has been continuous. Many times, after tremendous struggle, the illusion of change was generated and progress was celebrated. However, progress couldn’t continue because true equality and autonomy for women would mean that the gap of separation between the genders would have to close, and the ‘power over’ pattern would therefore have to lose its power. Recently in North America we have witnessed women losing the power of autonomy they fought so hard to gain. Now the gap of separation is once again widening in alignment with the patriarchal pattern.

How does one transcend the patriarchal pattern?

In my experience, the first step is to have an awareness of the pattern. The second step is to have an understanding of how the pattern expresses through you — how you are unconsciously and consciously influenced by it and how you contribute to it. This involves knowing your intergenerational (ancestral) stories and how you live them out. Through deepening your self-awareness, you expand your level of consciousness and can make conscious choices that align with your Soul power.

The Patriarch is a specific energy pattern that expresses survival consciousness. It is also referred to as victim consciousness. This level of consciousness expresses a low vibrational energy. It feels heavy and dense. When living the patriarchal pattern, change occurs by physically working with a goal to make it happen. Obtaining a goal can feel arduous as it takes an abundance of energy and time.

Some of the common patterns expressed from this low vibrational energy are:

·      separation

·      power of logic

·      limited possibility

·      belief in scarcity

·      being too much/not enough

·      imbalance

·      power over another

·      outer world defines personal identity

·      dis-ease

Common emotional patterns expressed by the low vibrational energy are:

·      sadness

·      fear

·      anger

·      overwhelm

·      selfishness

·      disempowerment

The ancestral (intergenerational) stories that have been passed down for hundreds of years have been generated from this level of consciousness, including the gender stories that generated the separation of the Masculine and Feminine archetypes. I wrote a blog post in June titled ‘Connecting Beyond Gender Stories’ that explores why and how the Masculine and Feminine archetypes have been separated by the Patriarch and projected onto gender. The truth is, these two archetypes express through every human being and they cannot be separated from each other. While the Patriarch predominantly expresses the shadow of the Masculine, the shadow of the Feminine is ever present.

In order to heal the ancestral wounds and raise the level of human consciousness, I believe it is important to have a basic understanding of the Masculine and Feminine archetypes in their shadow and their light. We hear a lot about the Feminine having been diminished by the Patriarch. The light of the Feminine was diminished and individuals that expressed the light of the Feminine or supported it, were persecuted and made an example of. The Salem witch trials are a historical example of the light of the Feminine being diminished. What most people don’t realize, is that the light of the Masculine archetype was also diminished by the Patriarch. As a result of the light of both archetypes being diminished, there is now a lack of awareness as to what the light of either archetype actually looks like. When you gain this awareness and allow the light of both archetypes to express through you in harmony with each other, you raise your level of consciousness and align with your power. The light of these archetypal patterns aligns with the Soul, oneness, and wholeness, and expresses creation consciousness. When you understand these patterns, you can work with them as allies to support your healing journey and transcend the Patriarch.

The other primary archetypal patterns that express at this level of survival consciousness are the Victim, Prostitute, Saboteur and Child. When you become aware of your relationship with these four patterns and stop giving your power to them, you raise your level of consciousness. In this process, you heal the ancestral stories and the wound/s that the stories protect. The Patriarch, is like any archetypal pattern, when you stop giving your energy to it, you break the spell that it cast over you. Your power increases as the perceived patriarchal power diminishes. You now have the power to create a life that better serves you and is in alignment with sovereignty, autonomy and equality.

For hundreds of years, humans have been living under the spell of the Patriarch thinking that victim (survival) consciousness is all there is for humanity, yet there is so much more! As humans, we seek connection and the connection we seek cannot be experienced with logic. The connection humans desire requires releasing attachment to the past, opening the heart space and loving oneself. In doing so, you experience creation consciousness. When living in creation consciousness you are free from story, can express as an unlimited being and experience endless possibilities. I wrote a blog post in December, 2021 titled, ‘Victim Consciousness to Creation Consciousness’, in which each level of consciousness is explained in more depth.

The truth is, you are the creator of your life whether you create it unconsciously from survival consciousness or consciously from creation consciousness. You have created the life you are living right now. Research shows that by the time you are thirty-five years old, nighty-five percent of your choices are made unconsciously. That leaves five percent for conscious creation. When you liberate yourself from the ancestral stories and their patterns, and heal the wounds, you are able to consciously create your life and embrace your Soul power and that is when the magic happens.
